What is a stereo microscope?
A stereo microscope is a low-magnification microscope that provides depth-perception. It uses two side-by-side lenses for magnification instead of just one, resulting into viewing it in 3D.
Stereo microscopes were designed for professional use, but are commonly used by younger students for ease of use. The magnification is lower compared to typical compound microscopes and it is much easier to focus the microscope and move specimen around for better viewing.
